This area opens itself up for lots of ministry oppurtunities. You can bring sand box toys, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and hulla hoops for the little ones. You can play basketball and volleyball with the young and old. You can bring water bottles and hand out to the walk

As a level 1 trip 50 percent of your trip will be in construction. Construction is used to meet a felt need but also to build relationships.
Types of construction could include painting, building wheelchair ramps, building fences, putting on or taking off a roof, replacing toilets, putting up drywall. These are all examples of what we did last year. Christian is still taking applications and getting the summer organized so we do not know exactly what construction your group will be doing.

I spend as much of my time as possible outside, running, jumping, climbing an anything that makes me feel hard core. I love spending time with people, and getting to know their hearts. The Lord has really built a huge place in my heart for women and the community that can come with that, as well as the mighty way our Lord moves in lives when we call on Him. There are too many mission groups that come to Appalachia to help with the construction needs and they have forgotten the most important thing...the Gospel.

As I have been going through the summer talking about God has been really teaching me some new things and I wanted to pass them on to you.
The biggest thing is that when Jimmy gets out of the way and let God have control and let the Holy Spirit give me the words and obey those words how Awesome that can be. Below is a Blog I put on my Myspace but I t

We watched God at work every hour of every day - in our mission assignments and in our worship! I stand in amazement at his goodness and faithfulness to us. There are many stories to tell.Yesterday (July 4) one of our teams worked to build a fence at the Wallins, Ky Community Center.
